Rachel Marcotte graduated from Centenery College with a Bachelor of Science in Equine Studies which is a 4 year program. This gave Rachel a strong foundation for riding instruction and training with studies including methods of teaching and training horses, course design, judging, schooling the green or problem horse, and horse show management with their equestrian program based in New Jersey. While in school, Rachel competed in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Nationals and placed a prestigious 3rd among college students who compete in equestrian events across the country. Currently there are over 8,300 students representing 370+ colleges and universities from across the United States and Canada participate in the IHSA.
After graduation, Rachel worked for Andrea Wells, who is a well known "R" rated judge in the industry where she learned hands on skills in the field. She then worked and rode for Marcus Grunthal, who at the age of 15 was competing in Grand Prix competition.
Rachel is a USHJA Certified Trainer, and in addition to her personal accomplishments as a rider, has been highly effective during her tenure at Triple Rise in preparing and coaching riders and horses to success in the show ring. We are proud to have Rachel on our staff!
